"ON ANGELS' WINGS"

l don't know why the angels came,
and decided to take you away.
They must have needed someone very special,
when they carried you on their wings that day.

l wondered how they could take you from me,
and leave me here on my own.
Then l realised your love would live on inside me,
so in my heart, l would never be alone.

God must have had a greater purpose for you,
when He decided your time on earth was done.
He must have wanted you for a heavenly angel,
so you would be able to watch over everyone.

The angels told Him you were so very special,
and could make the world a greater place to live.
So with wings full of love, they took you to Heaven,
and now everyone can feel all the love you have to give.

HIS PAIN AND SUFFERING IS NOW GONE AWAY.
GOD SAID PAIN ENDURETH FOR A NIGHT,
BUT JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING.
FOR THIS IS A NEW DAY.
THE MORNING HAS COME.
CAN'T YOU SEE THE LIGHT.
FOR THE NIGHT HAS GONE AWAY.
THE LIGHT IS THERE
AND SO SHALL YOUR JOY ALSO BE.
FOR HE IS NOW IN A BETTER PLACE.
IF HE COULD SPEAK RIGHT NOW HE WOULD SAY,
"DON'T WEEP FOR ME FOR I HAVE DONE MY JOB
AND IT IS TIME TO DO YOURS SO WE CAN MEET AGAIN."
AND IN TURN AS A FAMILY WE WILL SAY,
"I AM COMING, SAVE A PLACE FOR ME
FOR I HAVE FOUND MY FAITH."

SEVEN WEEKS APART

FORTY THREE YEARS
THEIR MARRIAGE TOGETHER
FORTY THREE MORE
WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
HUSBAND TRIED DESPERATELY
TO HANG ON TO LIFE
ALL FOR THE LOVE
OF HIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE
SHE TOUCHED HIS HAND
AND SHE SAID "YES"
SHE LET HIM KNOW
"IT'S ALRIGHT WITH ME,
YOU CAN LET GO"
HE FINALLY DID
BUT SHE COULD NOT CONTINUE
SHE HAD TO FOLLOW
YOUR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER
WAS BONDED STRONG
SEVEN WEEKS APART
IT WASN'T LONG
YOU ARE TOGETHER AGAIN
IN GOD'S GLORY
MOM AND DAD
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL STORY.

LIFE IS HARD. GOD IS GOOD.

The Comfort and Sweetness of Peace

After the clouds, the sunshine,
After the winter, the spring,
After the shower, the rainbow---
For life is a changeble thing;
After the night, the morning
Bidding all darkness cease;
After life's cares and sorrows;
The comfort and sweetness of peace.

Dedicated to our parents.

Listen With Your Heart

Memories are a treasure
time cannot take away...
So may you be surrounded
by happy ones today...
May all the love and tenderness
of golden years well spent
Come back today to fill your heart
with beauty and content...
And may you walk down MEMORY LANE
and meet the one you love
For while you cannot see him
he'll be watching from above...
And if you trust your dreaming
your faith will make it true...
And if you listen with your heart
he'll come and talk with you...
So for his sake be happy
and show him that his love
Has proven strong and big enough
to reach down from above...
And you will never walk alone
when Memory's Door swings wide...
For you'll find that your beloved
is always at your side.

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. 1 John 2:25

This Is Just a Resting Place

Sometimes the road of life seems long
as we travel through the years
And, with a heart that's broken
and eyes brimful with tears,
We falter in our weariness
and sink beside the way,
But, God leans down and whispers,
"Child, there'll be another day"--
And the road will grow much smoother
and much easier to face,
So do not be disheartened--
this is just a "RESTING PLACE."

My Life's Delight

Come, O come, my life's delight,
Let me not in languor pine!
Love loves no delay; thy sight,
The more enjoyd, the more divine:
O come, and take from me
The pain of being deprived of thee!

Thou all sweetness dost enclose,
Like a little world of bliss.
Beauty guards thy looks: the rose
In them pure and eternal is.
Come, then, and make thy flight
As swift to me, as heavenly light.

What Is A Mother

It take a Mother's Love to make a house a home,
A place to be remembered, no matter where we roam.
It takes a Mother's patience to bring a child up right,
And her courage and her cheerfulness to make a dark day bright.
It takes a Mother's thoughtfulness to mend the heart's deep "hurts",
And her skill and her endurance to mend little socks and shirts.
It takes a Mother's kindness to forgive us when we err,
To sympathize in trouble and bow her head in prayer.
It takes a Mother's wisdom to recognize our needs
And to give us reassurance by her loving words and deeds.

Fathers Are Wonderful People

Fathers are wonderful people too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises as often as we should.
For, somehow, Father seems to be the man who pays the bills,
While Mother binds up little hurts and nurses all our ills.
And Father struggles daily to live up to "his image"
As protector and provider and "hero of the scrimmage".
And perhaps that is the reason we sometimes get the notion
That Fathers are not subject to the thing we call emotion.
But if you look inside Dad's heart, where no one else can see
You'll find he's sentimental and as "soft" as he can be.
But he's so busy every day in the gruelling race of life.
He leaves the sentimental stuff to his partner and his wife.
But Fathers are just wonderful in a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments and accolades of praise.
For the only reason Dad aspires to fortune and success
Is to make his family proud of him and to bring them happiness.
And like our Heavenly Father, he's a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on to be always on our side.
